Dental Technology North York

Digital Dental Radiography

Our office uses digital X-rays. Every dental operatory is fully equipped to view images. By manipulating the image, digital X-rays offer many diagnostic advantages. Digital X-ray technology permits reduced radiation exposure, and is environmentally friendly as no chemicals are necessary for image processing.

Metal Ceramic And Metal Free Restorations

We work with Poly-Dent Dental Ceramic Laboratory to provide esthetic and long-lasting CAD/CAM engineered and milled metal-ceramic as well as metal-free restorations

Intra Oral Photography & Digital Animations For Patient Education

We use an intra oral camera that takes digital pictures of any problems you may have in your mouth so that you may better understand the treatment you require (Figures 4-7). When discussing your treatment, we use an interactive computer-based system with movie imaging and animation (Figures 1-3).

Microscope For Endodontic Treatment

Dr. Mary Dabuleanu, Dr Michelle Grayson and Dr Payman Mehrvarzfar use a microscope to improve the field of view during treatment. The increased magnification allows our Endodontists to access small and narrow canal openings while avoiding the unnecessary removal of tooth structure

Dental Treatment Center

We use a a Sirona Teneo Treatment Center dental chair for patient comfort during periodontal and implant surgery with Dr. Valentin Dabuleanu, in a quiet and spacious dental operatory designed for surgery

Dental Implant And Bone Grafting Materials

Dr. Valentin Dabuleanu uses dental implant technology from Straumann, a Swiss dental implant manufacturer with a proven track record for long term implant performance and treatment success

Benefits of 3D CBCT (Cone Beam) Scan Technology

We use advanced 3D CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) imaging to obtain highly detailed, three-dimensional views of your teeth, bone, and surrounding structures when needed for diagnosis and treatment planning. Unlike traditional two-dimensional X-rays, CBCT provides a full 3D image that helps us visualize anatomy more accurately and confidently — for example, complex root anatomy, fractures, or hidden canals that might not be visible on standard X-rays. This enhanced visualization can improve precision in diagnosis and treatment outcomes.

Although CBCT uses X-rays, it typically delivers lower radiation exposure than conventional medical CT scans. Dental CBCT radiation doses are designed to be as low as reasonably achievable by limiting the scan area, using low-dose settings, and selecting the appropriate field of view for each case.

Our practice uses the Veraview X800 F40 system, which offers high-resolution imaging with advanced dose-reduction features to ensure clear images with minimal radiation exposure. 3Shape Digital Intraoral Scanning — What It Is and Why It Matters

At our practice, we use the 3Shape digital intraoral scanner to take highly accurate digital impressions of your teeth and bite. Unlike traditional impression materials that can feel uncomfortable, messy, or trigger gag reflexes, the 3Shape scanner captures detailed 3D images of your mouth quickly, comfortably, and completely painlessly.

What Is a Digital Intraoral Scanner?

A digital intraoral scanner is a small, handheld device that captures precise 3-dimensional images of your teeth and gums in real time. During the scan, the scanner is gently moved around inside your mouth while a computer builds a digital model that’s used for diagnosis, treatment planning, or designing restorations such as crowns, bridges, aligners, and surgical guides.

Benefits of 3Shape Digital Scanning

✔ Comfortable & Painless
No need for conventional trays or impression putty — simply a gentle scanning motion with a small wand.

✔ Highly Accurate
3Shape scanners produce extremely detailed digital models, reducing the risk of errors and poorly fitting restorations.

✔ Faster Results
Digital impressions are available instantly, speeding up treatment planning and fabrication of prosthetics.

✔ Better Communication
The digital model can be easily viewed and explained with you, helping you understand your treatment and visualize outcomes.

✔ Enhanced Precision
Digital workflows improve the accuracy of restorations, such as crowns and bridges, which means fewer adjustments and better long-term fit.

✔ Cleaner Digital Workflow
Files can be shared digitally with labs and specialists, eliminating the need to ship physical impressions.
